By the way can you all explain what did some of you mean at the time saying "go out and meet real people"?
So I am genuinely curious because in 2023 when I was 22 I remember posting here on SW and several other forums too that dating apps weren't working for me and I was getting no matches at all and frequently ghosted so I remember some older SW users on here commenting "Go outside and meet real people", "Ditch the apps and go out" and also "Put yourself out there instead of sticking to these apps". I also remember some older men saying how young men these days lacks confidence and social skills due to often being stuck on phones, apps and video games. I was shy and isolated at the time so I didn't have the confidence to do it after years of bullying in school and then an isolating engineering phase and at the time I was done with college and waiting for my MBA to start. But now at 25, I am actually putting myself out there. I am not just stuck to dating apps or Instagram anymore.
I am actually approaching women (both Indian and foreign) in Cafes, malls, bookstores and Church Street of Central areas of our city Bangalore in India and even greeting and talking to foreign men too sometimes as I genuinely enjoy cross-cultural interactions. So why do some users(not all but some) question it that why am I talking to strangers or not and find it weird even though 3 years ago when I was only stuck on dating apps, many said me to put myself out there and be confident? I have definitely developed my social skills doing these socializing and the old shyness which I had near girls as a teenager fully vanished now and also I can read social cues much better now as I definitely know when to exit the interaction and end it with "Have a great day" and also I am much less clingy in the dms too. So yeah it did help me gain confidence as a late bloomer who is done with his MBA and doesn't have a steady peer environment now. So can you all explain what did some of you mean by saying me to go out and meet real people even though now I am doing it but still some are judging or questioning me for it even though it has helped me so much to develop my social skills?
