Americans need to study their history before it's lost to time and erased by those in power who want us to forget.

It's becoming very important to understand how corruption and money have always run the show in America. There are so many untold and hidden truths in the abandoned stories of our past.

We are not that great. Never were.

I agree with you 1,000%, and it’s incredibly frustrating to have fought for this country only to watch it being run into the ground by a fucking clown. I’ve made damn sure my two kids know the truth about our history, including the ugly parts, because understanding where we’ve failed is how we keep from repeating it. I’ve also taught them that telling the truth, even when it makes people in power uncomfortable, is one of the strongest ways we can stand up to that power.

@ManOfSteel We're definitely falling into old territory of lessons we've already learned and I'll say it, Nazism and corporate evil. The more I learn about these atrocities from the past the more familiar it looks.

There's so many smaller stories that didn't get told because they happened during a war or economic collapse.

People just walk around blind to the horrors that happened beneath their feet.

I teach my son too. He is learning right beside me so he doesn't grow up supporting a system that thrives on, let's be real, slavery.

I worry, like these old stories, what will be covered up to preserve the appearance of integrity when the truth is the powers that be are still willing to kill people for wealth and power.

Our history, when you take the time to look at, it tells a very revealing truth.

We once had great purpose (the Declaration of Independence) but in the short time between its writing and the writing of the Constitution our founding fathers set us on the pathway to where we are today.

The problem wasn't that the idea was less than good, even grand, the problem was and remains today, is that we humans failed to walk the walk.

National parks and museums across the country are having real history removed by the government because it doesn't fit the story some people want to tell and believe.

I don't understand the indifference here. Some people are screaming but not nearly enough.
