Don't let people in if they show you even an inkling of disrespect.

It's not unreasonable to want to be treated fairly and with certain manners.

The more hurt you accept, the worse you will be treated until they're saying and doing hurtful things to your face. Then getting angry at you for having a reaction.

I almost slipped backwards.

But I have finally found my voice. It's not sharper or louder or more clever. It first listens. It listens attentively to the disrespect without absorbing it or matching any energy. My nervous system may react, but my mind is cool. And when I have thought of a respectful response, even to disrespect, my voice is gentle.

No one is allowed to hurt me. And I'm better protected when I'm calm and serving my truth without any angles.

I wish my body would align with my mind, but there is still shaking and pain. I can overcome it now. Keep my wits. And speak.

I'm done being hurt.

I'm done eating disrespect.

No revenge, but no forgiveness. Don't tell me to forgive, I am not a saint and forgiving bad treatment is saying it's okay. It doesn't do anything for me except make me vulnerable to repeat the same weak actions.

People know what they're doing and so do I.

Don't take it quietly. Don't deflect it loudly. Deliver your truth precisely, clean, like a surgeon who cares not to damage, but to repair.
