Someone posted on here a few days ago about how we try to get each other's attention by ignoring one another...

And that really hit home.

I don't like matching people's energy and I don't want mine matched. To me that seems emotionally immature and fake in most cases.

But I see a lot of people using avoidance as a way of sending a message too. The silence that hurts worse than words.

And who knows why...

I hope I live to see a day of direct communication again. And not just the ability to be honest, the ability to accept other's truths as well.

I don't need to like it, but damn it'd feel good to just know the truth and go forth.

I think, in contrast to the past, our truths are changing more rapidly nowadays. Not our core, but the circumference truths that we communicate before we get closer. As if a wind surrounds us.

@0uijaFinger I miss feeling real
I ignore certain people not to hurt them...or even get attention...but for my own mental and emotional health...and that's the truth
It’s also possible that people avoid certain topics. They don’t want to think about them or be involved in their discussion. Either they are busy or that’s an emotion they’d rather not deal with.

@CookieCrumbs it's rough when you're trying to act like a community though, and sharing and communicating, then those people act like they can't deal with you. It's one sided.
@EldritchFox
I know what you’re saying.

But I’ve also learned that sometimes, it’s not really about us… it’s about them. They must be dealing with something we have no idea about.

Life should be simple. If they don’t like me or don’t like to interact with me, then I don’t need to worry about having them in my life. Interactions would be more fulfilling with people who genuinely like our presence.

I hope you find the good ones for your heart and soul.

I despise avoidance. And yes to me it's emotionally immature and more painful than words.

@Magenta it twists my guts in knots. Just no need for it.
