The reason why seeing Tibetan monks make me feel like home. Do you relate to it?

So lately I have been seeing some Tibetan monks around in Central areas of our city Bangalore in India too which are the urban cosmopolitan areas. I have seen them in saffron robes even in a luxurious international style malls like UB City and also in Church Street and Indiranagar. I talk to even foreigners too now at 25 but meeting Tibetan monks makes me feel home. That's because my hometown is Siliguri in West Bengal state of India and it's close enough to the foothills of Eastern Himalayas. There are many Tibetan refugees there as well especially near Salugara monastery. I am living in Bangalore since 2008 but I do visit there every once in a year for vacation(except last year tho and so far even this year). So I have seen these Tibetan monks in my hometown Siliguri and even they are in hill stations around it like Darjeeling, Mirik, Sitting etc and also in my visit to this monastery in Phuentsholing which is at border of Bhutan in 2017.

So yeah seeing these monks in the very cosmopolitan areas of Bangalore makes me feel like home too and makes me remember those previous Siliguri and North Bengal visits. But again these monks in Bangalore may also not just be from the Himalayan areas but also from this place Bylakuppe which is just 217 km from our city Bangalore and is in the state of Karnataka in South India(same state as Bangalore) and it has a huge Tibetan refugee population and I have been to the Monastery there in 2020 too. Anyways I greet those monks too and most of the time, they smiled and wave back or join hands. Only times they ignored me was in Church Street when it was crowded during evening of a Sunday. But this Sunday, a monk literally asked me for an address to Brigade road in our city. I answered him. He spoke really decent English too which is cool. Really makes me wanna visit my hometown Siliguri for real for just a 2 weeks vacation.
