Do you feel I did the right thing by going back to a dating app once again?

So yeah I was using dating apps during my early 20s(21-22 and a bit even at 23) when I was more shy and not talking to women in person much. I mainly used Tinder, Bumble and Hinge but yeah mostly didn't get matches and even if I rarely got one, there was ghosting. So yeah it felt frustrating and i reduced its usage at middle of 22 when I entered my MBA and saw peers and even got crush on this woman Anshika in class so I didn't need to use dating apps a lot even if I was shy. Then I completely stopped using it as it didn't work for me. Recently especially for the past 1 year, I had been putting myself out there much more after gaining confidence especially in Central areas of our city Bangalore in India and initiating conversations with women (both Indian and foreigners) who are strangers for socializing, gaining confidence and catching up socially after years of missing out on female interactions due to shyness and bullying. So when I go out, I socialize but when I am in home, I had been dming women from my city Bangalore itself on Instagram who are shown in the suggested profile list often are doing MBA or young professionals but the response rate is really low and even if I get response, many fades or ghosts so yeah.

So yesterday I created a fresh account on Hinge app again so that I can simultaneously use the 3 ways- in person approach, Instagram dms and dating app to connect. So yeah I am using the in-person approach mainly to socialize with people especially women and meet interesting people from different cultures and develop my social skills and maybe make new friends and connections whereas I am using Hinge specifically for dating as that's what those apps are made for. I am 25 so my Hinge age filter I set is women within 21-30 age range. Also one thing which happened is in my outings typically in the Cafes, the conversations are good and longer and more engaging often whereas in this Church Street area which is a youthful pedestrian only Street, sometimes I overdo a bit by greeting several women. Yeah I immediately move on and don't follow or anything if she doesn't wanna talk but yeah I over-greet several women and that's because the area is quite crowded and youthful and many couples and groups so I again feel a slight FOMO(Fear of Missing Out) so I end up doing it just to not feel as if I am still behind which I don't usually in Cafes or malls like UB City or 1MG Lido mall so there the interactions are more authentic and more selective.

So yeah now as I am talking in person and using Instagram, I feel using dating app simultaneously shouldn't be bad now. Only thing is my profile pic is a pic taken 3 months ago which is recent but clean-shaven and only for the past 1 month I have been growing a beard and I don't have a new pic with my more heavy-stubble look in my gallery so idk whether it's a good idea to use my 3 months old pic as profile pic. What do you feel?
