There's still a great deal of misogyny when it comes to politics.
Women's input is rarely valued or even acknowledged. Coming from the progressive side of things too, men usually won't have a discussion with women.
Nothing ever changes or really gets better in that regard. It's still about power and most men still have a complex towards women whether they realize it or not. In 250 years we've have one black president, never a woman. Are we actually progressing, or appeasing the idea of equality just enough to keep the minorities in politics silent and powerless?
It's all manipulation.
Even a bright idea or a fantastic point, if given by a woman, is ignored.
As if I needed another reason to be disgusted by the world of politics. It just keeps hitting home, we are still a very divided nation and as long as the white male remains the majority it'll never change.
I said what I said.
