Sorry to hear about the sciatic pain Fox. I started to develop sciatic pain from sitting in a weird position in the computer chair. A friend also had it and got muscle relaxers, but also did stretches and daily walking. They said it's better to be active and moving around to make it better.
So when I started my walk, I was in so much pain and I walked for a good 30 minutes. By the time I had gotten back home I could still feel a little odd, but the pain was gone. I try to walk when I can.
I'm trying to be more active and such.

@EldritchFox oh that's really weird if you got it while working out. I know they say things like a lot of back and leg pain could be due to poor foot support, but it don't make any sense if you got sciatica from working out, unless something was over worked.
I got tendonitis in my left elbow because the week prior to the tendon tearing I was out with relatives throwing frisbees for 3 hours straight. I didn't feel any pain afterward but then a week later the tendon tore at work from heavy lifting.

@twiigss my legs are just a bit wonky so I've had to go through a lot of PT to change how I walk, and hip issues run in my family, and Ive been working on concrete for 30 years, so I'm not really surprised.
Ouch that sounds painful! Sounds like it would take a long time to recover.

@EldritchFox I had to have an operation on my left elbow but I think I kind of tore it from working out.
There's moderate surging pain off and on, but no pain when I pick up things, so it's not torn like it was, hope that will resolve.
Yeah I worked on concrete for nearly 13 years, finally got a sit down job

I'm sorry about the sciatic pain. That fuc.in hurts. But that is good you are seeing some positivity for the future

@EldritchFox on Sunday? Yeah you might want to keep moving. Stretches help me a little bit also. No matter how ridiculous they might look to the by stander.

@Bang5luts yeah I work every weekend. That's adorable lol

@EldritchFox he's my baby. He thinks i. Look ridiculous when I'm stretching lol. Having to work on the weekends can be difficult when your son is out of school in weekends.. my.mom and I used to go for long drives in the weekends, and some school days she would let me skip if my grades were good

Oooh it’s awful and been having it myself for past couple of weeks 😬
It’s one of those things that can come and go, sometimes all it takes is a twist the wrong way or something as simple as a sneeze🤷♂ 🤧😒
Feel better soon 🤗

@EldritchFox I know the feeling 🤦♂. It’s been ongoing for 30 years . Old injuries and aging discs. Walking I find the best, need to step it up more plus keeping the stomach muscles tight, also helps 👍. Gotten lazy past couple months, I need someone to crack the whip 😞
EldritchFox · 41-45, F
@DelightfulyDelectablyDelicious yes I walk a lot and tighten my abdominals, focus on breathing, lots of stretches... But yeah it still happens. You crack that whip 😜

@EldritchFox Will do 😉.
