Do you like this song too or not?
So this song is Summer Heart by the Romanian DJ Edward Maya and the singer Tallisker. This is a relatively recent song by Edward Maya released just a couple of years ago. But I heard this for the first time just yesterday. The song video itself is set in Morocco but this song especially the Synth instrumental is kinda making me reflect and feel emotional too. A lot of older songs by Edward Maya and even other Romanian pop artists like Akcent makes me feel emotional and even FOMO(Fear Of Missing Out). That's because these songs are beautiful and it gives the vibe of a young man and a woman having a carefree fun time in a beautiful place which i missed out on as a teenager due to so much bullying which led of low self esteem and i avoided talking to girls for years. Even in my engineering college years I was shy and isolated and the environment was more male dominated and I missed out. I even missed out a bit during 1st year of my MBA when I was 22-23 and others were talking more freely and by the time I gained confidence, MBA classes were almost done.
This song too gives the same feeling and makes me feel I missed out on even basic female interactions in my more formative years while growing up and the carefree fun moments. Now I am 25 and more lonely at times as MBA recently got over and more in home and mainly socializing with women who are mostly strangers including foreigners too in Central areas of our city Bangalore in India just to avoid isolating myself in home too but I only go out 2-3 times in a week and obviously not daily and I am missing that steady peer environment of MBA. I mainly had this moment tho with this female classmate Soniya with whom I hanged out during our Bengali festival Durga puja in our city Bangalore as we both were Bengali and many Edward Maya songs including this one reminds me of that outing with her, the carefree feeling, laughs, feeling like I belonged etc. I never really made much friends to hang out with due to trust issues for years after the bullying.Yesterday in Church Street I saw this woman Suhani who is my age and was my classmate in MBA but couldn't even talk to her as she was with her coworkers going somewhere. So yeah this song is making me emotional and some FOMO. Edward Maya songs mostly make me feel this way. Like it makes me sad that I missed out when younger and now still catching up socially. Below is the song.
