I made a new (human) friend
(This is going to be long and contains things I don't usually talk about)
I made a friend less than a week ago through an anonymous post I made on FB where I was asking for something specific. I got insulted by some woman and a couple of guys in the process which was expected lol but as soon I got the comment I needed I deleted the post so nobody annoys the person who made it too.
I was looking for someone from a Christian background or a Christian to have a respectful conversation with and become friends. That apparently annoyed some Muslim weirdos who only represent themselves. They kept accusing me of seeking trouble and stuff like it's a war lol they're just so far behind. It's funny because those same cuties are the same people who were upset at FIFA and accused it of racism after the Egyptian match with Argentina.
Anyway all that doesn't matter. What matters is I actually found an interesting person. I mean it's super easy finding that online but I wanted someone I can sit with physically and talk and I wanted to try my luck. I started chatting with him that day about some video I found about a specific topic which I wanted to know what he thinks of and we exchanged some questions and experiences regarding religious views and we arranged a meetup which happened yesterday.
We met up at my regular cafe and we had a really cool conversation and it's always just nice to talk without filters and share all the thoughts that are usually frowned upon by the public with someone. We talked about a lot of topics loneliness, Atheism, Islam, Christianity, Judaism and even business. It was an open discussion and discovering common ground, we have the exact same beliefs about many things. His background is also very interesting he has a Muslim father and a Christian mother and he ended up being Christian.
As for me I meant it when I once mentioned here that I'm not the same person I was just 10 months ago; the worst sickness in my life that came right after a weird breakup those two experiences made me see things from a very different perspective. I do believe in a God now but it's not that simple and I have no regrets whatsoever of the past. That was one of the things I talked with the new friend about, one should never regret wanting to keep looking for the truth and claiming that you own it is fukd up because really what is the truth? All our thruths are different. Carrying kindness and love in our hearts is all what life is about all the rest are just extras. The universe or God or whatever you think made us, it made us all different so we can embrace those differences not start wars.
That's all and we agreed on meeting up again and he suggested we cut the meetup into a few parts. I'll gather a few topics about religion to talk about first it's mostly just things I'm curious about in his religion combined with my experiences and stuff I want to do etc. then we'll talk about business and different things so it won't be just wasted time. I hope it lasts and I think it's going to because I honestly do need a person like that in my offline life. Because even with my best friend there's some things I rather not discuss because even though he's a nice person and a very good friend he can be a bit judgemental towards somethings.
