I Watched the All Star Game..a blog

I thought it was kinda dull a snooze fest..I was thinking of the years I spent in Little League...there were four guys from my block who signed up together..
My friend Gary,covered third base who had a unique crab like motion when fielding a ground ball,but unfortunately couldn't quite make the throw to first base..I played short and could not only reach first base but
twenty feet over the first baseman's head🤦

My friend Dave was often pitching,but the real was watching him run the bases..he'd get i a pickle,a run down between the infielders....he just loved the Adrenalin rush

There was a kid we called Lenny the home run hitter, a name which he lived up to..alas we were not good.
we won 3 games one a forfeit.
I found a picture a few years ago..some of the guys put on a fierce game face with their arms folded..I was in the back ,looking totally goofy,frankly.
i think to understand Little League you have to have seen The Bad News Bears.
The catcher is always the...stout kid,the coach,the coach always had a son who played every inning.
We weren't quite as salty,and always expected to win,but we had had a great time
