Oh wow today I literally talked with a Filipino person for the first time. What do you feel about it?

So in Blossom Bookhouse of Church Street area our city Bangalore in India, I unexpectedly initiated interaction with a woman who is from the Philippines. Yeah at first i thought she is from Darjeeling or North East India and close to my hometown Siliguri in West Bengal in India and given how diverse India is, I mistaken so I asked her whether she is from Darjeeling and mentioned about me being from Siliguri but she smiled and said she is from the Philippines. I then apologized for my mistake and said her that I am just trying to socialize with new people. I am 25 and she is mostly in her 30s. She asked me which books I like and I answered and asked hers. I also asked her how is life in Bangalore compared to her home city Manila and she said she is loving it here and everything was going really good until she asked me where I am from and I answered Bengal and she then mentioned "Oh wow actually my husband is from Kolkata too". Yeah it was a bit of an "Oh no" moment for me haha after finding out she is married but I stayed composed obviously and mentioned I am from Siliguri. We continued talking for a while and then naturally ended the interaction. Even after the interaction ended, while leaving the bookstore she said me "See ya" and I said the same.

But she wasnt the only one. Near Church Street I had a great walking interaction with an American expat woman. She was really beautiful and is mostly around my age too. As usual i said her I am socializing with new people but you know whats crazy? She is literally working in the IISC University which is one of the most reputed university in Bangalore and likely even India as a whole. That created a shared context honestly as my cousin (dad's brother's daughter) is a professor there too. So I shared that my cousin is a professor there and she answered that it's great. She mentioned being from Texas. We were walking next to each other and talking and it felt so great walking next to such a pretty woman and talking. We talked about IISC, asked each other's name, life in Bangalore to which she answered about the traffic and I laughed and agreed. I also mentioned how US is one of my dream countries to visit and she said "You are welcome to visit it any time you want" and I thanked her hehe. That was an interaction i didn't wanted to end but obviously there was an end. Wish I had the courage to ask her Instagram.

She also wasn't the only one. In Lavelle Road, I had another walking interaction with a German expat woman who was very bubbly. She was also likely in her 30s and was very pretty. We were walking next to each other too and had a very engaging interaction on the sidewalks of Lavelle Road. We literally were walking and talking from Starbucks of Lavelle road until UB City mall. Surprisingly unlike many foreigners I talked to, she didn't know Bengal so she asked me to say where it is and i said it's in Eastern part of India so yeah she then replied "Oh isn't it raining a lot there?" And i said yes it is. It was a great conversation but when we reached near UB City mall, she said she had to go to the mall so yeah we ended the interaction with a handshake. Other than them, in this another mall Orion mall too in our city Bangalore itself, I initiated conversation with 2 Japanese guys who are University students. We had a very engaging interaction too but it was brief. Our interaction had a very "Bro energy" vibe too. But I really enjoyed these cross-cultural interactions.
