Puppets on display

All of our rehearsal lines
The things that we’ve built up
With all of us still drinking strong
From this endless cup

Is your cup filled with regret
Or is it filled with decade’s of understanding
Or is your cup flowing over
With all the things your life’s demanding

Are you truly happy
Or would you cash in all your chips
Knowing that as you walk away
You’re still on top of it

Because everything is a gamble
Your life, your love, and more
But if you’re really the you
That’s always been tried and true
Then you can rest assured

That no matter what constrains you
No matter what comes next
You will sure survive it
And you’ll take the future tests

Life isn’t always fair
And all you can do is live
So work hard and be happy
Be kind and try to give.
