Good morning:) I slept a lot... I sleep with the door of my tiny home open, because it's just so hot!

And so, mosquitoes ugh

But I love how I wake up and throw water with a cup on top of my head, under the tree, whilst my cats are waiting for me to feed them...

Then I put my coffee on the fire, I make this Greek coffee, Turkish, Serbian, Bosnian, everyone claims it nevermind.. it takes a while to cook, and in the meantime I put the dry food in their plates - they eat dry food in the morning and canned wet food for dinner.
They have their snacks, insects, little mouse, little birds, little snakes, some of them hunt, some don't but they are all agile more or less..

The soil smells comforting, the cicadas keep the rhythm.

I like it here.

I am now having my coffee on a table at the shade outside in front of my computer.. Once I finish, I will go to the cat camp to check the cats there - there are a few more cats over there and one is hurt, I must find her and somehow get her into a big cage - it's like a 1m2 square meter, maybe even bigger and it is part of the land.

Later I am painting the front door, but this is a job that needs to be done early in the morning and I woke up around 11 am.. I will see how I will go about it. I am trying to sleep early but it is just so hot.

never heard serbian coffee. how was it?

@RachelLia2003 "Finely ground coffee beans are boiled with water (and sugar, if desired) in a small copper pot—typically called a džezva in the Balkans or an ibrik in Turkey. It is boiled until a thick foam forms, then left to rest so the coffee grounds settle at the bottom of the cup."

it originates from Turkey. Croatians claim it too lol

@Boeing thx für explaining. im foreigner living in turkey. they dont do it with ibrik here. they do it with cezve. i just wanted to know if its the same thing in serbia as well.

btw i believe most food they claim isnt actually theirs. old world was occupied by many cultures and many ppl immigrated etc. so especially border areas and cultural exchange areas like harbour cities had great food with many varieties and stuff. so its ok für many cultures to claim stuff.

most food they claim is a mixture of arab and jew and persian and north african and stuff. but probably coffee is turkisch. bc other empires and stuff didnt have an access to coffee trees and stuff. only ottoman empire reached coffee growing regions in their empire back in the day.

on the other hand one of my favourite foods is lahmacun. turkisch ppl claim like its theirs. but the lahmacun name is arabic🙄

I love these simple moments you share with us. I can see them, smell the coffee brewing and hear the cats gather round for their snack.
