So these are the 2 dynamics which I feel resembles the friendship between me and him. Do you agree?
So as you all know I mentioned in many posts that i never really had many friends due to bullying in school which led to trust issues even later on but there is this one guy Saishyam who has been a true friend. He was my classmate in 11th and 12th grade and we still stayed in touch on Instagram and WhatsApp. In school, I would often annoy him tho by comparing my height with him as he was the tallest in class about 183-185 cm and I was about 172-173 cm but after school ended we kept in touch online. Later on i started opening up more about the bullying i faced before 11th grade, sharing every secrets, my engineering years struggles and backlogs and all and he never judged me and gave good advice or was at least supportive.
I also started sharing about my MBA crushes like Anshika asking for advice how to approach her as I was still shy, women ghosting me and the sadness about when Dimple in my campus suddenly unfollowed me on Instagram and he validated me too saying what she did was wrong too as she didn't say the exact reason why she is distanced herself. Now I am 25 and he is also in his mid 20s. Nowadays I also shared about my socializing which he appreciates a lot as he saw me being extremely shy near girls and also share about my job search struggles and he definitely relates as he was also unemployed in 2024 for 5-6 months but I have been for a year(MBA itself got officially over just 7 months ago tho) so that's the difference but he is still positive and non-judgmental about it.
So in this para I will tell our friendship is similar to which 2 dynamics:
1) First one is the dynamic between Jethalal and Mehta Saheb from the Indian comedy television show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Jethalal played by actor Dilip Joshi is the main lead character of the show but he is often shown to get into trouble and go to his friend Taarak Mehta whom he calls Mehta Saheb initially played by actor and poet Shailesh Lodha for several years but got replaced by actor Sachin Shroff. So Jethalal often goes to Mehta whenever he feels stuck into any problems and calls Mehta his "Fire Brigade" as Mehta is more wise and intelligent and often gives him nice practical advice and ways to come out of the problems and also he always stands with Jethalal during his tough times so Jethalal trusts him a lot and shares everything to him. Similar I am like Jethalal and Saishyam is like Mehta and I also shared him everything and secrets and message or call him whenever I am upset or feeling down. Only difference is Jethalal in the show is Gujarati and Mehta is Rajasthani and both living in Mumbai whereas I am Bengali and Saishyam is Tamil but we both live in Bangalore in India for many years. I often see him as my "Mehta Saheb" tho.
2) The second one is the dynamic between Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park. I see myself as Chester and Saishyam as Mike. Yeah whenever I am sad and overthinking alone it seems similar to when Chester sings softly and the part is intense with his powerful vocals and then when I call Saishyam, it's similar to when Mike Shinoda starts rapping or singing in the bridge of the song and yeah that's when my mood gets better and he gives some good tips or advice similar to how Mike's rap parts feels more different or less intense or emotional than Chester's parts. So this is another dynamic which I imagine about our friendship
