I feel like a btch

One of the board members told one of the vendors they could do something, and said vendor spent $1000 on a cooler because this board member just told them they could bring a product.

She has caused me a lot of problems, now this vendor is pssed at me, because of course I am the bearer of bad news, and now board member is saying the board is "clic-y" because I told the other board members what she did.

I hope she leaves the board. She's been at the market a long time and seems to think she can override the other board members (and me).

She is making more work for me, owes the market money, and I have kinda had it. 🙃

Hell nah! You're not the villain here. You're dealing with the consequences of someone else's promise. The vendor has every right to be frustrated, but the frustration should be directed at the person who gave approval they weren't authorized to give.

But it's okay, the other directors don't like her either 😬

Yeah that’s rough 😬 but you’re basically just stuck being the messenger here. The vendor being upset is more about being out of pocket than anything personal toward you. Hopefully it cools off once they see it wasn’t your call.

JFC. The Board needs to get her under control but the problem with volutneer boards is everyone gets scared of upsetting someone. And so it leaves you stuck in the middle.

@CountScrofula yeah, I am going to send an email about the ramifications of what she did, but I will leave her out of the email chain, I guess?

I want to create a graphic, like, showing all of their thoughts and ideas siphoning into me, me relaying to vendors, and then vice versa.

Cause sometimes they (she 😐😐) will go rogue and then I have to deal with the consequences.

I brought up the workshop last meeting and nobody said anything lol.
