So I had some of these good interactions today. What do you feel?
So in this new Cafe in St Marks Road of our city Bangalore in India close enough to Lavelle Road, i initiated a conversation with this expat woman from Germany. The interaction was different than many interactions I have. That's because she not only engaged with me but when she asked whether I am from Bangalore and I said I am from West Bengal, she said "Oh wow you are from West Bengal? I actually know a little bit of Bengali". That surprised me so I asked her to say a few Bengali words and she said "Ami Bangla jani" which means "I know Bengali". I out of curiosity asked her when did she learn Bengali and she said that some years ago she was in the city Kolkata for some volunteering so she learned it. I was genuinely impressed but also said her that I don't know German and she said that's fine. I am 25 and she also seems close enough in age mostly about 27-32 maybe. Then I asked her whether she likes cars but she said not really and she sees cars as moving from one point to another. I said I am a car enthusiast and showed her the video of a Hummer H2 i saw today and a Ferrari SF90 Stradale which I saw previously and she was like wow. I asked her hobbies and she has a big list and i said I like singing and cover Linkin Park songs and the conversation became about Linkin Park and how the band is incomplete without Chester. Overall a great interaction and she was just amazing and cute.
In Trinity area of our city earlier in the day just outside of 1MG Lido mall surrounded by 5 star hotels, i initiated conversation with this another woman. She said she is a flight attendant on Lufthansa. So I knew already she was German after she mentioned Lufthansa so I said "Ooh so you are from Germany right?" And she said yeah she is. Then we talked about our names. My name was so long and she gave a hard laugh haha about it. Then I asked whether her flight is a Boeing 747 and she said yes and she literally showed the pic of her 747 flight on her phone and it looked so huge and impressive. I said I would love to sit in a 747 and she said yeah it's one of the best airplane. When she asked about me, I shared about just being done with my MBA.Then I also showed her a video of the Hummer H2 to her as well which i filmed and she said "Wow. That thing is actually quite expensive". I said yeah and I mentioned being a Car enthusiast and she said "Yeah and even an aviation enthusiast right?" I then laughed and said yes. But suddenly some auto rickshaw (tuktuk) drivers came and asked her whether she wants to go somewhere so yeah it felt a bit awkward for me. She said them that she is just heading to the hotel. So I also that time disengaged saying have a great day and she said the same. I would have loved to share an experience with turbulence in one of my flight journey before but yeah that's okay. She was beautiful tho and somewhere in her 20s.
I also had interaction with another foreigner but he is a man. Yeah he is an expat from Italy and will be in Bangalore for a year. It was an interesting cross-cultural interaction. He was also engaging. Whats crazy is when I said him I studied MBA, he literally asked me what is it. Yeah for some reason I expect most people to know MBA as it's globally recognized degree so was just surprised but I explained him saying it's Masters in Business Administration and that's when he said oh that's great. Overall the rest of the conversation itself was normal but I just enjoy meeting people from different cultures and their experience in Bangalore. He also mentioned how he likes the weather here compared to many of the other Indian cities.
