One of the few irritating aspects of our city Bangalore in India. Do you feel it's irritating too?

Yeah I am from West Bengal state of India but living in the city Bangalore in India since 2008 so I grew up here basically and i definitely love this city but I will share about annoying aspect. And no I am not talking about the infamous Bangalore traffic jams here which a lot of people talk about. I am talking about the annoying power cuts and outages. Like when I am watching some interesting show or movie and suddenly the power goes and it's so annoying. At night I am sleeping under the AC and suddenly the power goes and it's annoying during the summer months here like March, April and May. We actually have electricity generator which the security guard of our apartment turns on but still the show I am seeing where it gets interesting is gone by the time the generator brings back the power and also I can't turn on the AC when generator is running as I am worried about power overload and our flat power going off due to it. Also often times at night when power outage or cut happens, the security guard doesn't turn on the generator simply because they are known to fall asleep so doesn't know the power cut happened unless someone calls them and says them to switch it on. Like 2 days ago it happened at night teice, they didn't turn on the generator at all either times. It's harder to know whether this time they were asleep again or there was some issues in the generator but I wasn't able to sleep due to it and only slept when the actual power came in.

But the power cut isn't even the worst part. This happens in pretty much most parts of India except maybe Mumbai which has 24/7 electricity. The annoyance is why Bangalore despite being a major city of India and often called the Silicon Valley of India due to its IT industry still doesn't have 24/7 electricity like Mumbai. Everytime power cut happens I get angry and say internally "Why the hell can't this city have 24/7 electricity? Mumbai has it". Yeah as a major IT hub, advanced tech, AI, EVs and many more in the city, I can expect it but still power cuts happen after it rains, during summer and just randomly sometimes. When I was younger, my parents and grandparents would say that power cuts happened as they supply power from the cities to villages for the villagers to utilise it but now in the 2026 I don't think that's true. So yeah power cuts feel annoying but the most annoying part is the fact that Bangalore still doesn't have 24/7 electricity.
