Sometimes I think ...

I'm too grounded in reality for people

Some want you to enable their bullshit and I refuse to do it ...

I won't chase ...I won't beg for different outcomes ....I choose ...I accept...I move on

Well, I like the realist in you.

Ditto!

@Magenta thanks

Very few people can see the reality of themselves, even when they believe they can, has been my experience.
It always depends on whether they are open to being accountable for their own actions and are making an attempt to change.
My problem is when the bs morphs into a demand to be believed.
I do not chase anyone, either.
I move on when it is clear there is no way of reconciliation.
I do not accept untruths and those who insist on clinging to lies even when they know those lies are upsetting or destructive,

@Justmeraeagain and sometimes people don't really change for the better ..even if they are trying

Very much truth right there.

People like the stories they tell themselves. The stories they think will work. When reality doesn’t vibe with that, they get annoyed.

I get it.

@BillyMack Thanks for getting it
Heard this a long time ago, don’t remember where but I never forgot it. Still rings true to me.

The majority of conversations people will have in their lifetime can be grouped into two categories: 1) Talking about other people and 2) Justifying their own beliefs/opinions/positions.

So it would seem that any attempt to shake them from that paradigm would be like swimming upstream, usually to no avail.

@OlderSometimesWiser so much truth in that
@Aquaabyss Just seems like so much of the time, being able to detach rather than join in people’s belief systems is the healthiest, most sensible thing to do. Certainly saves a heck of a lot of psychic energy!
