Do you feel what the barber said about my combing is right?
So today I had a haircut at this barber shop right next to our apartment in this residential area Munnekolala in our city Bangalore in India. I had been getting a haircut from him since 2017 when I was 16 and even now at 25 I go to his barber shop for a haircut so yeah we aren't some strangers. He is a Telugu person from Andhra Pradesh state of India and I am Bengali so he speaks in Hindi itself. But yeah for while especially in my more recent haircuts he has been more vocal about my combing. He feels I don't comb my hair at all. He keeps saying that I should be combing my hair at least 3 or 4 times in a day. He says it while smiling so he doesn't really say it in a rude or angry tone. In reality I do comb after having shower but yeah I also try to keep my hair standing feeling it looks more stylish. My hair also grows really fast and is really dense so while the barber combs my hair, the comb gets stuck and that's when he complains saying that I don't comb at all and says that's why he is cutting my hair really short as I don't comb.
But today he was talking about it even more. Like he was shaving this another man's head and he literally said me while smiling itself this line in Hindi "Agar comb nhi kiya aur next time maine aisa same dekha toh tumko ganja kar dunga" which is translated as "If you don't comb and next time I see you in this same way, I will shave your head". As he was shaving this man's head, he gave me a comb and told me to set my hair and do the partition so he can trim the sides. So yeah he was asking me to comb it this way that way to make the partition. And then he was combing my hair before cutting them and said this Hindi line "Dekho aise comb karna hai" which translates to "Look this is how you should comb". I am also trying to grow a beard for the first time and didn't shave for 2 weeks so this was my first time going to his shop with a growing beard. So he shaped and trimmed my cheek and neck area with the trimmer but for some reason he didn't trim my chin. So yeah after the trimming and haircut was done, he again said with a smile itself that next time if he again sees that I didn't comb properly, he will shave my head.
