Say honestly, do you feel this job is also gone and these people are ghosting me?
Yeah it's frustrating honestly as I am just done with MBA very recently and 25 now and job searching and facing the brutal job market of our city Bangalore in India even though it's an IT city. So yeah i had 2 virtual rounds of interviews in this company for a Marketing Analyst trainee role. So the first round was technical round which was 2 weeks ago on Wednesday. I cleared that round for real which means my skills were aligned for the role but last week Tuesday I had another round which was the HR interview round. So the HR round was going alright until he asked whether I have experience with Marketing tools like Google Analytics. That confused me because the job description only said MS Excel, Power BI and dashboarding and reporting in which I am proficient. In the technical round too they mostly focused on my Excel, Power BI and analytics Skills and never asked for Google Analytics so idk why the HR executive asked it.
I was honest and said that I have no experience in Google Analytics but I will learn and upskill myself in it and mentioned my other skills. I really thought this would be fine as it's a Trainee role for god's sake so maybe a 1 week training will be given too. But no as usual he said they will update me soon but complete silence after that. 2 days ago I again called the recruiter who scheduled the interview asking her about the updates regarding it, but she said she was on leave so she will ask them and let me know but it's been 2 days and no calls and emails so it looks like I am being ghosted again. It was a decent pay role and i really thought I will get it. Idk that why they are this unforgiving now even in a Trainee role even though I said I will upskill myself in Google Analytics. Very frustrating honestly.
