So today I reconnected with 2 people from my school days. Do you also feel it was great?
So yeah today while walking in our area Munnekolala in our city Bangalore in India at around 8 PM, I bumped into these 2 guys Mithun and Shashank who were going on their Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle. They were in the same school as me but were a grade below me which means when I was in 10th grade, they were in 9th grade. So yeah they were my friends who made school more bearable during my 10th grade as I was regularly being bullied in my class. So today we met and started talking. Mithun and Shashank still were joking with me for real tho just like they used to in school. The only difference is I am 25 and they are also about 24-25 and they are both Kannada speaking people(the native language in Bangalore and the whole Karnataka state) and I am Bengali. Like when I shared that my MBA just completed, they just jokingly said "Oh why did you let it complete bro? Why didn't you stop it?" Also when they asked how did I commute to University and I said by bus, they said "Oh so you were driving the bus?". So yeah the interaction was full of laughs, banters and teasing honestly. But yeah I came to know that Shashank also has been unemployed for 1.5 years.
Yeah he completed his engineering 2-3 years ago and didn't do an MBA like me but yeah he worked but quit the job and since then he hasn't been able to get a job and its been 1.5 years which made me feel slightly better as I am myself job searching too and finally it felt that I am not alone and plenty of people in their 20s too face it and I am not some failure. I also shared him the videos of the cars I filmed near UB City mall and Lavelle Road and they were genuinely impressed seeing the Porsche 911 and the Ferrari SF90 Stradale. They also kept jokingly asking me when am I getting married and also asked whether I have any girlfriend or crush. I did share about Anshika who used to be my crush in MBA and they teased me about it. They also kept teasing me about my mom's friend's daughter even though I am not into her at all and they are just family friends. I also mentioned going to UB City mall and Church Street and they were like "We will also come" haha. I didn't share yet that I socialize with women including foreign expat women in Cafes and all and only shared about Anshika. By the way they also made me sit on their motorcycle and took a video of me on the motorcycle which I later posted on Instagram stories for real haha. Anyways we had a handshake but yeah just like in school, I tried squeezing their hand just for fun but it didn't pain for them but when Mithun squeezed back, it pained so much for me haha and idk why. Anyways a very great and memorable interaction after such a long time.
