Why is this dude begging to be my friend?

I didn't block him but I removed him from my social media and now he sent me a WhatsApp message and I've never given him my number. He got it from one of my work videos.

I feel so uncomfortable about it, he needs to have some dignity.. Plus I'm not that cool. He believes I will teach him the kind of work I do, so it's really for his own benefit.
