he's not even wet,

Several things I just don't understand about this. It's not just the ugly cruelty of the whole situation. 🤬
How did the rescuer even know what was in the bag? 🤷🏻♂
And if he didn't know, why even try? 🤷🏻♂
It could have been a bag of trash. And that water doesn't look clean either.
Something not right about the whole video. Odd that the whole thing was even recorded from start to finish.
The cat doesn't even seem upset. Like it has done this several times. I know cats. A cat would be extremely mad having done this only one time. It certainly wouldn't be docil coming out of the bag even after a few times. The cat didn't even look wet.

@DeWayfarer I don't think the rescuer KNEW what was in the bag. But he took a chance.
The inner bad looked as though it might have been water-tight.
I know cats, too. After the initial fall into the water, and possibly realizing someone was helping it, it may not have had the need to be freaked out. There was enough time which had passed (I had to cut out 37 seconds of the video for SW to accept it) that I think it would have given the cat to calm down.
I think the video is authentic.

@PhoenixPhail Look at that water. Would you go into it without knowing what was in the bag?
I most certainly wouldn't. And I have done some crazy stuff before like pulling a girl out of freezing water. BTW freezing water sort of paralyzes your muscles and why she couldn't get out all by herself.

@DeWayfarer I would assume it wasn't a bag of garbage. H could have gotten rid of that anywhere. I would guess he was trying to kill an animal. So, yes. To me it would be worth going in after it.
From the looks of the young man's summer clothing, I would think the water wasn't that cold.
I'm glad you pulled a girl out of freezing water. That's great!
