As I was sitting here doing my yearly ethics trainings

A thought occurred to me. I think I realized why I like plants so much.

They don’t have thoughts or emotions. It’s just life for the sake of life.

In a complicated world so full of cruelty and death that seems like such a simplistically beautiful and precious thing.
