50 Thing About Me
A lovely person on here inspired me to have a go at this. There’s more to me of course but this is what came out when I wrote the list off the top of my head.
My name is Denise, but since childhood I’ve been know as Dee.
I have a middle name I rarely tell anyone.
I can play a few songs on the piano, mostly by memory.
I’ve had more hairstyles than I can count.
I don’t know how to ride a bike.
I once stayed up for 36 hours just to finish a project.
My favourite film changes constantly depending on my mood.
I studied something completely different from what I do now.
I’ve worked in both quiet offices and very loud cafés.
I nicer travelled alone to a place where I knew no one in Central America.
I’ve had a job that required waking up before 5am.
As a teen I once got caught in a sudden storm with no shelter with a woman who I now consider a very close friend.
I’ve made something from scratch that I was genuinely proud of.
I enjoy rearranging my room more often than necessary.
I’ve tried learning a language and forgotten most of it.
I can cook a few dishes really well and improvise the rest.
I keep old concert tickets and random souvenirs.
I once wrote a long letter to an American president that I never sent.
I’ve never broken a bone.
I don’t like overly sweet drinks.
I missed a train because I was reading.
I’ve won something big in a competition once.
I can peel an orange in one long strip.
I’ve never liked horror games like ouija boards, but I’ll watch scary films.
I often packed far too much for a short trip.
I enjoy drawing, even if I don’t do it often enough.
I make a surprisingly good late-night hot snack.
I’ve flown on a plane in Cuba that was sold to them by Russians.
I’ve visited American cities that didn’t live up to expectations.
I can crack my knuckles, though I try not to.
I’ve never been skydiving and don’t plan to.
I’ve explored my sexuality at all ages and some I probably shouldn’t have.
I can’t do any card tricks but wish I could.
I’ve got lost in a building I’d been in before.
I’ve spent many days doing absolutely nothing productive.
I’ve been intimate in front of people.
I once shared a table with someone well-known without realising.
I can follow basic YouTube DIY tutorials.
I don’t need glasses (for now).
I’ve changed my style too many times over the years.
The furthest I’ve run without stopping surprised me.
I’ve been in long-term relationships with a man and a woman that taught me a lot.
I used to make up stories when I was little and have dreamed about them since wondering if they actually happened.
I’ve been to the top of the Twin Towers.
I make playlists that perfectly match certain moods and edit them regularly.
I’ve stood in a place I’d only seen in pictures before.
I’ve been in a small aircraft and hated it.
I joined a social media platform early before it became popular. Then left it.
I’ve visited a place in South Africa that is historically important.
I’ve been on a couple of rides that made me question my life choices.
