The reason why I feel annoyed by the sound of firecrackers. What do you feel about it?

So yeah idk about other countries as I haven't been out so I will only share specifically about India as this is where I live in the city of Bangalore. So yesterday night due to some reason after around 12 Am at midnight, they were bursting some crackers due to some celebrations maybe and omg it felt so annoying. Here in India, people burst crackers about anything like some festival, cricket victories, some celebrations, new year and especially in the major Indian festival Diwali. One of the major reason I dislike Diwali is because of firecrackers which are bursted everywhere. It's more recurring as multiple people burst them on the streets and it's more intense after 6 PM. I don't burst them because I remember as kid seeing my youngest aunt having a crackers burst on her hand while I was in my hometown in West Bengal during Diwali and she was crying. Since then I got afraid of firecrackers and don't burst them not even now as an adult at 25. Also some of the crackers are so loud that it gets annoying so fast. Idk I feel Diwali would be too good if people just light up diyas and light up some crackers which just sparkles but no sound because loud bursting crackers feel so annoying.

I remember for 2026 New year, me and my parents went to this hilly lush green place named Wayanad in Kerala State of India and on 31st December night, the resort where we stayed in put bonfires. I wanted coca cola or sprite tho as without that, it didn't bring the party vibe but my parents got annoyed how I kept asking why no coca cola or soda. Then when new year happened, multiple people burst crackers and I was literally covering my ears due to the sound which made my mom disappointed saying "What will others think seeing me behave like this?"(Yes sadly many Indians do have this worry about what will people think). Then she asked me to light a sparkler from the bonfire as many others including my dad was doing it but unfortunately I wasn't able to do it as whenever I brought my hand towards the bonfire, my hand would feel this hot burning sensation maybe because my hand is sensitive to the heat. My mom was disappointed saying in Bengali language that I was making a joke of myself and even women were able to light the sparkler. I tried but failed as the heat felt unbearable whenever I took my hand towards the bonfire to light up the sparkler and the disappointment on my mom's face was clear. I just hate firecrackers. They are too loud and that's one of the reason why Diwali feels unpleasant and I enjoy our Bengali festival Durga Puja a lot more. What do you feel?
