So crazy to believe it's already been a whole year since that day. Is it normal to already miss it?
So exactly a year ago on 19th March 2025, I was still an intern in this edtech startup in our city Bangalore in India as I was in final semester of my MBA which was dissertation. So yeah in the internship, I was socializing with multiple female interns. But I remember connecting with this woman Roshini with whom I talked during evening break. We weren't in the same floor or team so we could only talk at the break. So we had a long conversation talking about many things and also saying I was looking to socialize and meet new people as I was missing that MBA Cafeteria vibe. I was 24 and she was 21-22. So yeah while talking, she eventually gave her number to me for real which felt like a turning point as I didn't even have to ask it and she herself gave it. She said take my number and you can just shoot me a text whenever you want to socialize or hang out. I was still finding it hard to believe a girl was saying all that. It definitely felt like one of my best day ever. We would chat on Whatsapp sometimes.
But sadly on 30th March 2025, I was fired. That's because I was talking to multiple female interns which already became a gossip and I was labelled teasingly by other full timers as "socializer". But this Team Leader from another team suddenly said that multiple girls complained that I asked them on dates. It's a lie as I only used to talk normally and really didn't ask out multiple women. But he kept accusing me that I keep asking female interns on date. So I felt misunderstood and angrily said him "Don't talk to me like that okay". The TL was young too like my age so were HRs(it's a young startup run mostly by mid 20s(24-26) and some late 20s people). After that he immediately took my to the HR and I was immediately fired in minutes(I will share the full story on 30th March). So yeah after that I chatted with Roshini only once even sharing the firing story and since then she ghosted me forever. Yeah sad but true. She shared her number with enthusiasm but eventually ghost me after I was fired. Now it's 25th March 2026 and it's been a year and I am 25 and freshly done with MBA and job searching and honestly kinda missing that early 2025 phase as well. I had things going on and now it feels stagnant.
