The real reason why it makes me a bit sad when I visit UB City mall. Do you relate to it as well?
So as you all know I often visit UB City mall in our city Bangalore in India and often I mention about my socializing there but in this post I will mention about something different about the mall. So its a very luxurious mall in the city which means its very expensive. It literally has international brands like Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Burberry, Ferragamo etc. Many rich people come to the mall in their Lamborghini, Bentley, Mercedes G63 AMG, Ferrari, McLaren, Porsche, Maybach GLS600 etc so you will see multiple luxury cars at UB City. The mall also has a big courtyard area with several fine dining restaurants and Cafes but I can't freaking eat in any of them. I can only have the cheapest Cappuccino or Cafe Latte or Americano in Cafe Noir or Third Wave Coffee or Cafe Zaara as they are relatively cheaper. Restaurants like Sanchez, Toscano and even the Indian restaurant named Salt are very expensive. I remember eating a mutton biryani in Salt restaurant and omgggg the bill was a lot. There is a Turkish restaurant named Kebabci and a new Latin American style restaurant but in most of them I can't enter as they are so damn expensive. I am just a 25 year old dude who is freshly done with my MBA and job searching so no way I can afford in those restaurant. The food items are mostly over 500 rupees and with taxes and everything the total bill will be 1000 rupees which will be too much for a solo visitor in my life phase.
I definitely wanna experiment with food but it would be foolish to spend so much money and I will barely be able to order a starter item there. These restaurants in UB City are made for wealthy locals, elites and the expats. So yeah I can only order the Americano or a Cafe Latte in some of the Cafes in UB City and post it on my Instagram stories saying I am having a coffee in UB City. Its a shame how expensive these restaurants are in the mall. I loved the biryani so much and wanna try it again but no way I can spend so much again especially when solo. I really wanna eat Turkish food tho and wanna eat in Kebabci but seeing the menu and price of even starters let alone full meals, I am like "No way I can eat there". There is another Kebabci in Koramangala area of our city which is relatively cheaper than the UB City one but even there I have to be careful as its still a bit expensive for me. What do you feel?
