What rotten luck

I sold my car to my brother's friend for a $1000, though he offered $1500. They're both good with cars

I just found out a week after I sold it to him, he got rear ended by another driver. He's alright but I just feel really bad

Were the brake lights working? That would be my only concern, assuming he was fine, the car is just a thing.
Rear end collisions are almost always the fault of the guy in the back, so their insurance should cover cost to fix it.

@MisterBander they were working. The other guy's insurance will cover some of the expense but the car is wrecked

I mean... that can't be your fault in the least, really. unfortunate for him. probably worse that it likely killed the car he just bought.

@GoFish it had a few problems he was aware of and sure he could fix. Other than that it was in good working order.

I wanted it to be a useful car for him
