No such thing exists. It's purely a matter of belief and optimism.

@CrazyMusicLover Years ago I heard something like -
Do not be upset for what you want but do not have. Be thankful for what you do not want and do not have.
When I start thinking about things I do not have, I just remind myself, "Well at least I do not have to put up with this or that."

@HoeBag Yeah but I meant that we can't ever be sure that something terrible won't happen this or that day. I think we're just optimistic enough to believe that things will go smoothly or if something happens it would maximally spoil our mood or cause minor troubles. We don't expect any lifechanging disaster because no such thing has ever happened to us before or maybe happened a long time ago. Most people think that those things happen to other people not them and when they do happen they are very surprised.

@CrazyMusicLover Anything can happen of course. Minor setbacks to life-changing crisis.
I kind of believe though that the better someone has it, the more likely it is to fall apart. Seen that happen.
At this point in life, not sure how my peers feel though, I just try to make it through with as few burdens as possible.
Some people have these great paying jobs that they are afraid to lose cause how would they maintain and support their huge house, their three kids, the four monstrous dogs running around the house, keep up with the Jones's and the chaos, etc.
I have none of that and it is peaceful.
