This is how I used to feel about the Western countries 10 years ago and now I changed. What do you feel?

So as you all know in 2016, Justin Bieber was very popular. I was 15 at the time and his songs like Sorry, Company and then other hits like Cold Water were everywhere. He is Canadian tho so yeah whenever I heard his songs I used to often feel as if Canada=luxury 🥲😅. Yeah you heard it right 😂😂. I used to often think people in Canada lived a more luxurious life after hearing Justin Bieber. Yep that JB's lifestyle felt cool and aspirational at the time to me haha. I was like he was so lucky whereas I live in the city Bangalore in India which is a major city but in 2016 I only lived around East Bangalore areas like Munnekolala, Kundalahalli, Marathahalli etc which are mostly residential and tech park areas so less cosmopolitan than Central Bangalore areas and I was still in school. I remember feeling a bit of the Canadian/American luxury life of Justin Bieber when sleeping under AC in my room during 2016 summer vacations 🥲😂😭.

But now in 2026 as a 25 year old I no longer feel this. Yes I listen to stars like Taio Cruz, Mohombi, Calvin Harris, Justin Timberlake etc but I don't try to fantasize about that luxury lifestyle. That's because I visit real cosmopolitan areas of our city Bangalore like UB City, Lavelle Road, Church Street, Indiranagar etc and I talked with foreigners in real life including an expat woman from Canada just 2 days ago. She was very warm and friendly and I didn't even feel any Justin Bieber feeling or anything and it just felt like a normal human to human interaction. But I do kinda wish I could have jokingly asked her whether she met Justin Bieber or talking about the rock band Simple Plan haha. But yeah I am no longer that person who thinks Canada=luxury.
