The reason why the instrumental of this song reminds me of Akansha. Can you relate to it too?
I bet most of you know this song already as it was mostly very popular when it came out in 2009 I guess(I was a child so idk and I discovered this song in 2017 at age of 16). So this was the side project of Linkin Park's lead singer Chester Bennington. So you all must be wondering why it reminds me of Akansha right? 🥲🥲. I shared in my previous posts that Akansha was my crush in early 2024(Feb to April) in my MBA University and I was in 2nd sem of MBA and she was the prettiest girl in our campus. But there were several things tho which made me overthink. And yes I accept that she was more of an infatuation rather than actual love feeling which I got with my crush Anshika during 2023 in 1st semester of MBA (I was just 23 tho). 🥲☹ as Anshika was truly much warmer to me whereas Akansha barely ever showed any warmness and it was just a conversations but it felt so thrilling to talk to her and meet her.
But I also was overthinking quite a lot as she was super pretty and as I was just overcoming my shyness, I still wasn't as confident as I am now so I could only initiate when she was solo or maybe with 1 female friend but if she was with large group of her classmates/friends I hesitated to approach her. Sometimes I saw she had a much better bond with her male classmates and male friends(yes we weren't classmates but in the same year of MBA) and also my male friend said she might be having a boyfriend 😢😭 which made me worry as I had a massive crush on her. So while returning home from University on bus, I would overthink heavily whether I have a chance with her or not, whether she has a bf or whether she is even interested 🥲😢. So in bus I suddenly started hearing the instrumental of this song Let Down by Dead By Sunrise to feel better. I like the one with vocals too but the instrumental helped me more and I felt calmer. Next day I would again talk to her but I would hear this instrumental a lot in early 2024.
Slowly the connection with her faded with time and she was never interested but now at 25 when I hear this instrumental, I still remember that phase when I was in 2nd semester and crushing on Akansha and the thrill of talking to her while also overthinking whether I have a chance. Honestly in my teen years when I was bullied, I related more to the 24-28 year old Chester Bennington during Hybrid Theory and Meteora phase but now at 25, I relate more to the 33 year old Chester from Dead By Sunrise. What do you feel about it?
