Never depend on a foreign country for protection
We have this funny quote in Egypt that rhymes in Arabic and translates to "Fava beans and falafel are better than American army bases"
"الفول والطعمية احس من القواعد الأمريكية "
It's mocking the Arab countries that have that because they are useless especially now that these bases clearly failed to "protect" those countries like they were promised.
Another one but doesn't rhyme says
“He who covers himself with America is naked.”
"المتغطي بأمريكا عريان"
The explanation of this one is clear, anyone who relies on America for cover will eventually be left exposed.
