I know that probably every country in the history of the world has probably killed civilians at some point, but today feels like such a dark day

I find it hard to believe with today's high tech weapons that our military would target a school deliberately. If it's true civilians died it's sad . How sad will it be if some iran backed terrorist carried a suitcase nuke into a large u s city and set it off.? A lot of people think having nukes means firing off missiles but once they have the tech missiles will be the least of our worries. People in iran are dancing in the streets.
