Why the hell do many Indian movies have these kind of romantic songs which brings the feeling of longing? 😭

I noticed one thing that most Indian movies have this romantic song which gives this massive feeling of longing or yearning and its not just Bollywood songs. Today on a Saturday afternoon, I was trying to have an afternoon nap but suddenly my parents in the hall room were watching some Bengali movie. Yes we are from Siliguri in West Bengal but living in Bangalore in India since 2008. So yeah in the movie suddenly this particular Bengali song was playing. It was a typical song which plays when the actor and actress finally falls in love in the movie and they go for some beautiful hill station and starts singing. As I was in the other room, I couldn't hear the lyrics but the instrumental was enough to make me emotional. Even though the song is during happy romantic moments in the movie, it still carries a subtle tone of longing and yearning 🥺. It was enough to bring tears to my eyes 😢 even as a 25 year old adult man. Nowadays at 25, these types of songs makes me emotional as I am myself trying to meet and talk to women. These movies and songs often portray love as something really sacred and precious. I was idle and laying down at afternoon and even after the song ended, the instrumental of the song was still repeatedly being played in the movie for few seconds so I just couldn't control my tears 😢😭.

The music is surprisingly very simple and many Indian movies show pure love and not much casual moments. There is often less PDA shown except some kissing scenes and holding hands and no casual moments so the love feels pure. Add Indian conservatism to that and it makes love feel even more precious. Many movies also show how their families often don't agree for their love marriage so it shows love as something which we have to fight for and even some sacrifices. As many parts of India is still conservative, the movies show love as intense and often full of longing and yearning which can make people emotional 😭. The pure human to human love shown in the movie is what makes me feel very emotional when these kind of songs play 🥹. I am posting it on here instead of on Instagram stories that I cried after hearing the song because on Instagram I have my real life 20 something peers(mostly 21-27 age range) whereas on here everyone is anonymous and older mostly 35+ and often 40s to 60s and some even 70s so I feel less worried about judgment. But yeah I felt super emotional at the afternoon today as I didn't have much things too distract and tears rolled over my eyes for real 🥺😭. Idk why Indian movies have to always make these kinds of songs even though plenty of Indians are emotional. What do you feel?
