It was refreshing to see an actual black American man in Church Street. What do you feel about it?
So I have shared already in my previous posts that Church Street area of our city Bangalore in India is really cosmopolitan and youthful parts of our city where I also socialize with women. Anyways I noticed another thing in Church Street is that many Indian dudes in that area try to act like wannabe black American dudes saying slangs, trying to imitate the accent, some using the F-word and I even heard some casually saying the N-word to each other. Yeah you heard it right. These dudes don't fear any consequences or anything about it and don't care saying it to each other as black foreigners are very less in number in India so yeah they don't fear getting beaten the sh*t out. Church Street kinda feels more hip-hop like due to these wannabe gangsta Indian dudes and many bars and shops and everywhere playing hip-hop beats. Honestly at 25 I find it cringe how these dudes try to imitate them so hard both in Church Street and also on Indian subreddits. But today things changed when I saw a black American man with his male friends who were white. I went to him and said him "Aye man" and he also said hello. We had a handshake and then a high five and said him just like meeting new people and said him have a great day and they said the same to me too.
It felt so refreshing to find a real black American man. He was far more matured than these wannabe Indian dudes pretending and being such tryhards. Other than that I also greeted and talked a bit with a Nigerian man working in a Cafe in Koramangala area of our city Bangalore and then the amazing and warm conversation with a German woman in the food section of 1MG mall of our city and she is an expat working in the city. It was a great conversation and we exchanged names and she was really friendly. But yeah back to the topic of Church Street again, its full of these wannabe dudes so its refreshing to see actual foreigners there and talking to them. I feel imitating them too hard isn't cool. It feels cringe to me honestly. Idk how you all feel about it but for me its cringe. Anyways what do you feel about it?
