Woahhh I can't believe this conversation happened. Do you also feel this was unexpected?

So today across Central Bangalore areas, I talked with several foreign women like this exchange teacher from Germany, this gorgeous traveller from Spain, 3 Taiwanese expat women, a traveller from Israel and an American expat woman who says she is from New Orleans but this particular conversation was the most unexpected and this actually happened with a man and not a woman. Yeah so in the MG road Metro station right next to Church Street, saw this East Asian man waiting for the metro and next to him an Indian woman was sitting but she wasn't with him and just sat there as there were no empty seats. So I said the man Hi as I also wave at foreign men and said him I am just saying Hi to new people and he really appreciated that and I also said Hi to the woman sitting next to him who too smiled and waved at me. Then that man asked my name and I said it and asked his too and he said it. And then he eventually asked the woman sitting next to him her name too. She answered and they both were talking. I felt a slight envy tho haha because he could effortlessly talk to an Indian woman and they both were talking in the metro until she got down whereas whenever I approach Indian women, many are more reserved towards me and even if she talks, the conversation remains brief. Idk whether its because he is a foreigner basically and I am an Indian and they are just more guarded around Indian male strangers.

But after she got down, that man again started talking to me. I asked him whether he was from Darjeeling side of India because plenty of time North East Indians look similar to East Asians and South East Asians. But then he said that he is Chinese. Yes he said he is Chinese but was born in India itself in the city Kolkata but now working in Bangalore. I wonder whether he is from Hakka Chinese community in Kolkata as he is said he is a 3rd generation Chinese. Then he playfully said "Thank you bro for helping me talk with that girl". Yeah he said he often doesn't have a proper icebreaker to initiate with women and he is 30 years old now. So I said I am 25 and he said he used to much more introverted and shy at 25 and I also said I also used to be much more shy but now I am confident. He said he really liked how I tried to socialize with him as he feels this is how we can network and make friends. Then he shared about the company he works in and that he is software engineer. I said I am also a fresh MBA grad and searching for a job. He asked me which role I am looking for and I said Business Analyst and he said he thinks there is a role like that in his company. We followed each other on Instagram and he said me that I can send him my resume and he can refer me there but he can't fully guarantee about the job tho.

He also asked about my skills for the role and then eventually we talked more. Like I asked him how is he finding the city Bangalore and he said its lovely but his only complaint is the traffic jam. I also said same here and we both laugh with a high five. He also said he knows a little bit Hindi as he worked in Mumbai last year too but he has to learn the local language Kannada spoken in our city Bangalore. I said him that I live in Bangalore since 2008 and still didn't learn it and laughed and he laughed too. He also asked me where my hometown is and I said its in Siliguri in West Bengal so he asked me "oh Siliguri? Isn't that hill?" But I explained not really but its close to many hill stations. So we kept talking until my station came and we had a high five while saying Bye and I got down.
