Do you feel that the circular structure under that tree is the remnants of a village?

So in the area Munnekolala in our city Bangalore in India where i live, this is the Munnekolala bus stop. So as you can see thats a huge tree and under that there is a circular seating area under the tree. Those are usually in Indian villages where village elders have informal meetings. Munnekolala and parts of East Bangalore used to be a rural(Village) area too more than 30-40 years ago and i guess this bus stop was a main village bus stop back then(idk much as I am just 25 and came to Bangalore in 2008 so i wasnt even alive at the time). I think the circular structure under the tree was used as a village meeting point too. But East Bangalore areas got heavily urbanized after IT parks started coming especially in ORR areas nearby so this became an urban residential with shops, apartments and PGs. So you can see the structure is frozen with time even though everything around is urbanized and nowadays people just sit there to chill under the tree. At morning, I even see a group of local old men sitting under the tree and i guess they are the last remaining people who saw this area when it was a village. What do you feel?
