There are people I have distanced myself from because a normal day in my life would overwhelm them

I think that makes perfect sense. There are some journeys that you can't really take passengers on. Totally different level of severity but I found the same when I was in the depths of gambling addiction. Like most addictions it's a place that you go on your own. The only exception is your loved ones because they are pretty much in it whether you like it or not.

It takes certain type of person to face certain realities in life. I know both of my sisters couldn't handle what was happening with our mother.

Unfortunately they had more say. 😞

I understand. I've had to distance myself from some ,not only because ....life is getting fast, great but fast but they're also just toxic .

Its hard for some people to know what to say. They know the facts of what you are going through. But they cant really know or even understand what it means to you. They are silent, while trying to find a way to hit the right tone.😷

I've learned that so many can't handle so much.
