Is this a gospel song or a song made for the devil ?

Hmmmmm. Some people criticized this groups contemperary tone when they first arrived on the scene.
They said it was too jazzy and too much like pop or rock.
But little did they know that this group was gonna take the world by storm.
And today many say they are the greatest gospel group of all time.
Funny how that played out. This song was also ahead of its time.
It is one of their hits from their stunning debut from 1985.
Do you like it ? Is this really a gospel song or a not.

It just sounds soulful and pretty sensible to me. I've heard Christian messages in everything from Dance music to Heavy metal. Sometimes they are really good songs too lol.

Oh and yes, I like it.

There was a time when music in church was in Latin and only sung by monks. The Puritans banned it altogether and then it was restored. Then only psalms were allowed before hymns as we know them. At every change in style there have been those who clutch their pearls and say some styles are 'of the devil'. It's what's in people's hearts that matter not the style of music.

I have favourite styles, but they are not more of the Holy Spirit than those I find more difficult to worship to.
