At what age did you learn how to fully read and write?

I fully understood how to read at age 4.. And write at age 5.. When did you?

I was four when I started reading on my own. I don't recall when I started writing stories, etc, but I could print all of the alphabet and sound out most of the single or double syllable words before I got into grade one. My great granddaughter who is eight years old has been reading since she was three, but I know that she hadn't learned to write at the age of five. She is now reading at a high school level and writing stories at a grade six level. Reading is so great. I feel bad for people who don't like to read. They're missing out on so much.

Yeah I remember when I was in 6 grade I took a test for reading levels and I was supposed to get 220 but I got 252... My teacher had to read the paper work about 100 times, because she didn't believe it, and tought there was glitch with the computer... Lol
