My mom always taught me never to engage in gossip or talk about other people if they weren’t there to participate in the conversation

@Jenny1234 Very good advice. My father told me something similar: ”Don’t say anything about someone you wouldn’t be willing to repeat in their presence." It has served me well in school, and on the job.
