Do u think that January 6 should be a Holiday ?

Right here in the US only. Yes, its that time of year again. It is January 6, 2026. We are remembering the people who were victims of the
riots in the Capitol Building in Washington DC. It was a very tragic event that affected everyone, including myself, deeply.
And yes, it was wrong. No matter your party affiliation, it was wrong. Period. Shame on you. 😡 Now, back to the question. Do you
believe that this day should be a day of memory for those who passed away. Do you think we should at least take a moment of silence.
Why or why not ? The floor is yours. How are you feeling on today. 🤔

Yes, but with mandatory paid time off for workers.

@MethDozer ehh it would be nice BUT we know companies are having none of that. Their shareholders would qu33f their britches.

Another downside though is that it would cause downtown in any city to be blocked off more often because of MORE parades or whatever.

If you live in a medium or large city, you know every little thing they just HAVE to hold another event that makes commuting more difficult downtown.

@HoeBag I grew uo in a midsized city and lived on a few cities. I haven't seen an a tive downtown in any if them since like the early 90's. Shopping and working has moved to the suburbs. The only thing happening in any downtown in any city i have been is crackheads, the occasional parade, and some nightclub action on weekend nights.

The only places I ever see anyone commuting to a downtown area are in tourist towns by tourists
