and we gonna get an upgrade

Initially Reported December 30th, 2025

As part of The McDonald’s Corporation’s plan to remodel stores for a more digital experience, the Crossville location on the corner of Main Street and Bennett Way will be demolished in the spring of 2027, with the new store expected to take approximately 180 days to build.

This store is owned by franchisee Funderburk Family McDonald's. They own several McDonald's locations across the Upper Cumberland, including the Peavine Road location in Crossville and the upcoming Cookeville location on Washington Avenue.

A representative of Funderburk Family McDonald’s, manager Elvis McBroom, has confirmed that employees have been offered the option to work at either the Peavine or Cookeville location during the rebuild. The new store is expected to have expanded kiosks for ordering and more parking for DoorDash/Uber drivers.

Local surveyors visited the property in August to determine the restaurant's relocation and plan the new drive-thru lanes and expanded parking.

When asked about changes to the restaurant, McBroom cited recent McDonald's remodels, including the revised location in Morristown's College Square.

Stay tuned to the Upper Cumberland's honest news source as updates develop.

@NativePortlander1970 and now technology and the increased costs must makei it even more attractive.

how much longer until we get the star trek replicators? :)
@Pretzel The funny thing is, prices will still not lower for comsumers, if anything the high costs of the automation will most likely make menu prices rise even more.
