You know you're an Albertan when

You have been outside for hours and the temperature is heading south of -40. You have lost all feeling in your fingers and toes. Your eyes are almost frozen shut. The wind is so strong it blew you over 4 times and on the way home you stop in at 7/11 for a extra large slurpee.

I was in Banff/ Calgary in July many years ago and it was cold THEN (in the mornings ). Couldn’t imagine an Alberta winter

@AthrillatheHunt Yes I remember working not far north east of Banff just outside the park. We would get snow every month of the year. The cabin I slept in had a wood stove to heat it and it took a bit of practice to learn how to bank the fire so it wouldn't burn out over night. If the fire went out in January it was very cold getting the fire going again.
