Food prices here are absolutely INSANE! 💀

I was just browsing Rozetka and came across something crazy: A large PHILLIPS blender with 1200W costs the same as ONE food order, if the food order includes protein (even canned beans are expensive here, and we don't have bags of dried beans available). We could never afford to buy a blender like this, we would get a Chinese brand, maybe Ukrainian brand, yet now 1-2 weeks worth of food literally costs THIS MUCH! Just insane, it really puts the inflation into perspective. 😨

@Nightwings Cause you mentioned getting protein from beans. That's one of the things I do as a veggie myself.

@Hireath Haha yes because otherwise people will say "just get dried beans, they are cheap" when I mention that protein is crazy expensive. 😆

We can't afford protein in our diet at all. We lack several food groups in our diet unless we buy the equivalent of a powerful Phillips blender twice a month. 🥲

@Nightwings Is welfare happening in your country at this point? I ask knowing that you're ill (and I'll continue to pray for you) but over here there are benefits for people who can't work.

@Hireath I'm not ill per say, I had a chronic condition since my early 20s but the condition is not very scary in itself, it's the hightened risk of a specific type of cancer that's scary about it. I'm also underweight and yet need beta blockers for my heart, it's probably from stress and also inhereted from my mother's side.

No, no welfare, Ukraine is very different from first world countries. If there was any kind of charity and my husband signed up they would immediately send him to war lol.

Everyone here is completely screwed with money but we are the lucky ones not living in the warzones.
