Was approaching her in Church Street to talk to her fine even though she knew me and she smiled and talked?

So there is this girl Chetna who is from my MBA campus and is from the junior batch. Last year during my 3rd semester of MBA, in campus we talked often and she was always friendly but now I am freshly done with my MBA so we haven't met in person for several months. She is 24 now and I am 24 turning 25 in 4 days and she is basically from Punjab state in Northern India who came to our city Bangalore, India just last year for her MBA whereas I am from Siliguri in West Bengal but living in Bangalore since 2008. Today tho unexpectedly I saw her in Church Street area of our city which is a very cosmopolitan and youthful area of our city. She was eating pani puri tho from the pani puri stall there with a guy from our campus. Idk whether he is her boyfriend or just friends but I didn't care and confidently approached her waving at her and said "Hello Chetna". She smiled and said hello. I asked her whether she remember me and she said she did and then I asked her how is she doing and she asked about me too. The guy was silent and just watching while eating pani puri. I kept the conversation brief tho and eventually said her it was nice meeting you and she said the same and then the conversation ended. After the conversation ended, the guy eventually asked her something probably "Who is that guy?" But yeah it was a pleasant and surprising moment to bump into both Chetna and Suhani(I posted about her in my previous post).
