They seriously need to make regulations for how long people are allowed to renovate their apartments

When we first moved into our apartment, our upstairs neighbors started renovating for a whole year. Now that we live somewhere else temporarily due to conscription, our new upstairs neighbors have started renovating. At 7 this morning, they began drilling into the floor and hammering in the hallway so that it echoes throughout the entire staircase. It's been going on for about a month now and I'm already so tired of it, but it could take them years to finish. Hopefully we'll be back in our apartment before that. It's so annoying that everyone is always renovating.

Have you checked to see what the noise laws are? 7am seems too early to be allowed to do that kind of thing.

I've heard that if enough people make reasonable complaints about loud noises, the police can step in to stop it even at times when they normally wouldn't. Maybe if you can get enough people in your building to make a complaint, something could be done about it.

@Redstar No because it's so common here, year long constant renovations are basically part of the culture. 😩
