Even though i had some good conversations, i faced 4 rejections in a row. Is it normal?

So today i again went to UB City mall, Lavelle road and Church Street which are the most cosmopolitan and upscale parts of our city Bangalore in India. Recently i had several good conversations with women especially foreign expat women. Today too i had 2. I am 24 and I approached this black American woman in UB City mall who is an expat working in Bangalore. She was great and we had a good conversation and she even joked with me like saying she is from India when i asked her where she is from but then said she is from US and was just kidding. She also asked my name and asked about myself and I did too. My first time interacting with an African American woman. Then i also had a short but decent conversation with another white American woman in a chocolate Cafe in Lavelle Road who is a tourist and she was friendly.

But today i faced 4 rejections in a row. At entrance of UB City mall, i saw 4 white women standing with groups. I tried saying them Hi and talking but they just smiled but didnt want to talk to me. I moved on. Then in Lavelle Road, i saw 2 foreign women walking and I waved at them and said hello, but they basically ignored my hello and walked away. Then i tried approaching 3 more white women in Lavelle road again but she acknowledged my hello but she said okay have a nice day and I also said same to you and moved on. Then in Church Street I saw a group of 4 black women(most likely Americans again due to their accent) walking. I said them Hi and they said Hi and then I said I am just trying to socialize with new people but they said "Owh sorry we are in a rush" and i said okay and they walked away too. So yeah i faced 4 rejections today. Sadly it was Thursday so not many people in Cafes where i have much better socializing. Is it normal tho to get rejected?
